Welcome to the CTR Secure Training – TRISAT and our online Modern Information Security Training course at Level 5. The course is internally certified and follows the qualification regulators assessment process in the UK.

    The qualification approved by CTR Secure Training – TRISAT internally conforms to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is certified as: Level 5 Certificate for information protection Professionals. This 150 hour course, split over 7 Units at Level 5, is the equivalent working level to that of a ‘Level 5’ in the UK, but this course is quality checked and certified internally. The Units are:

    UNIT 1: Modern Information Protection for Business
    Modern Information Protection for Business is designed to show how Modern Information Protection should be integrated within Business. There is an ever-increasing need today to understand the role and capabilities of a Modern Information Protection Professional and how Information Protection can best support the Business or Client.

    UNIT 2: Threats of Today and Tomorrow
    With the increase in the media of threats to personal information this Unit looks at the Threats of Today and Tomorrow and covers current and emerging threats to Information Protection and their potential impact on Business or personnel.

    UNIT 3: What is Information Protection?
    This Unit describes the terms of ISO 27001, and Information Governance and looks at the extensive measures available for reducing Information Protection risks, such as personal and business information loss, or compromise.

    UNIT 4: Information Protection and Risk Mitigation
    Information Protection and Risk Mitigation introduces the Information Risk Assessment methodology and how to reduce information security compromise and Information Protection loss through the implementation of Information Protection measures.

    UNIT 5: Information Protection and convergence
    Information Protection and convergence (working with other security functions) introduces the modern approach of Information Protection Convergence, which is essential for the effective and efficient mitigation of Information Protection risks in the complex world of today.

    UNIT 6: Information Protection and Incident Management
    Information Protection and Incident Management introduces the role of Information Protection measures when a breach of security, an incident, or crisis occurs and additional Information Protection measures are required.

    UNIT 7: Information Protection being Modern
    Information Protection can be modern and innovative and this Unit introduces cutting-edge ideas and measures to reduce Information Protection risk and assist Businesses to be more successful.

About Instructor

Tremaine Kent has managed various aspects of security from high risk environments through to complicated technical projects, some of which was gained from a military and corporate perspective.

Tremaine has served with various specialist units within the military and has carried this experience through to Trisat.

Tremaine is a member of the Security Institute and holds a BSc in Security Consultancy and a FdA in Protective Security Management, amongst other relevant qualifications.

Tremaine also has experience within the education and skills sector assisting in writing the National Occupational Standards for Close Protection with Bucks New University. This accolade of experience and qualifications enables Tremaine to author and develop unique modern courses in personal security, conflict resolution & situational awareness e-learning courses.
