Security Management Course & CTR Secure Training- TRISAT, would like to introduce the QNUK Level 4 Certificate in Security Management (Organisational). This certified security management course has been approved and regulated by Qualifications Network UK (QNUK). This qualification develops learner’s basic knowledge and understanding of security management as part of the wider security management concepts.
In light of current and emerging criminal and terrorist threats to business. Research skills are developed allowing the learner to explore a range of security management concepts including, the role of a security manager, security management policies and risk mitigation. This qualification develops transferrable skills that will support the Security Manager in the workplace as well as provide continued professional development for wider security roles.
The QNUK Level 4 Certificate in security management course has been designed for those seeking to progress to a supervisory or managerial position in security. The course is suitable for people new to the industry who would like to progress to a management role, former military personnel transitioning from the military (ELCAS registered). As well as existing security professionals wishing to enhance their skills and knowledge base. This course has been designed for anyone that wishes to gain a recognised Qualifications Network UK (QNUK) Level 4 Certificate.
Unlike other training companies that provide unregulated Level 4 courses. CTR Secure Training – TRISAT is a regulated (RQF) e-learning purist. All taught content that is delivered by one of our Subject Matter Experts (SME). Delivery is a close resemblance to actually being in the classroom. Elearning provides all the benifits but without all the costs and time constraints. This regulated and recognised qualification course provides over 80 hours of taught content. The course content can be applied as a Modern Security Professional within a business environment.
QNUK Units
The QNUK Level 4 Certificate in Security Management (RQF) course is broken down into 5 units of study. The total qualification time (TQT) is 80+hrs, this represents an estimate of the total amount of time that could reasonably be expected to be required in order for a Learner to achieve and demonstrate the achievement of the level of attainment necessary for the award of a qualification. The course is nationally recognised which means you will attain a widely recognised qualification within the realm of security management courses. The following Units are:
UNIT 1: Establishing the Foundations of Security Management
In this Unit you will be guided through the basics of Security Management from understanding the responsibilities of a Security Manager and the skills and attributes needed to properly discharge them. You will also gain an understanding of how the role of the Security Manager has evolved over time and its likely future requirements.
UNIT 2: Threats to Organisational Security
This Module will allow you to recognise and understand a range of current threats from terrorism to retail theft and how risk management can minimise the risks from these threats.
UNIT 3: Security Management Procedures
The previous Modules will have provided you with a good grasp of threats and their associated risks. This Module will help you gain deeper understanding of risk, recognise the importance of effective risk communication and show you how to conduct effective risk assessments.
UNIT 4: Managing Risk within a Security Management Environment
This Module is designed to examine your current attributes and skills and identify ways in which they can be improved. It will also help you to understand the significant changes in security and how to build a management portfolio.
UNIT 5: Legislation Relevant to Security Management
This Module will give you an understanding of the regulatory framework governing security in the UK which is subject to strict licensing laws under the Private Security Industry Act 2001. You will also understand other relevant laws and regulations affecting security management.
Doug has considerable experience in the corporate security sector having been the corporate security vice president for T-Mobile before becoming the International Security Vice President for the Deutsche Telecom group. Doug also served a full career in the British Army Intelligence Corps becoming a commissioned officer and holding various commands. Doug provides strategic direction to CTR Secure Services and serves as a member of the board.
