Trisat Employee Personal Safety and Security Course (EPSSC)

About this course

This intensive one day Personal Safety and Security course has been designed for businesses or organisations that need to cover their legal duty of protecting the health, safety and welfare of their employees, under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This duty includes all forms of work-related violence, which HSE defines as:

‘Any incident in which a person is abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work’.

To tackle the risk of violence, Trisat has combined four short courses together (offering value for money) that follows the S.A.F.E approach:

• Situational Awareness Training (ISA)
• Conflict Resolution Training (CR)
• Breakaway Concepts (BA)
• Emotional Intelligence Awareness (EIA)

The Aim of the course

The aim of this course is to provide a much-needed accredited duty of care under your health and safety requirements. By the end of the course the delegates will be able to:

“Become situationally aware in identifying potential volatile situations to then communicate more effectively by advanced dynamic risk assessment & legal understanding whilst in a position of safety and further, de-escalate an aggressive person by understanding their motivational value system”

Course Accreditation

This combined one day course is accredited by CPDUK for the Conflict Resolution module only. The other modules of the course are certified by Trisat.
