Lone workers face many hazards during their working day, however many don’t have adequate training to deal with such hazards. Training is particularly important where there is limited supervision to control, guide and help in situations of uncertainty.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) defines a Lone Worker as:
“Those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision.”
Training may be critical to avoid panic reactions in unusual situations. Lone workers need to be sufficiently trained to recognise, understand and take necessary precautions of work-related threats and associated risks.
The aim of this course is to provide a much-needed accredited (ROSPA Approved) duty of care under your health and safety requirements. By the end of the course the delegates will be able to:
“Understand lone working and conduct dynamic risk assessments to minimise work related risks from hazards”
This course is going through accreditation by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) accreditation process. At present this is a Trisat Certified Course.
